Welcome to #TeamFelix. Your support will help us rescue more food and get it to more people experiencing hunger across the capital.

The Felix Project is London’s largest food redistribution charity. Every year we rescue thousands of tonnes of high-quality edible surplus food that cannot be sold and would otherwise go to waste. We then get it to around 1,200 community organisations, such as food banks, community centres, primary schools and shelters, who are all working hard to feed people in desperate need.

The need for food support is higher than ever, 1 in 4 working families regularly struggle to feed their children and 1 in 7 have less than £3 a day to provide breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Felix Project is doing all it can to help people get the food they need, people like Esther. Esther is a mum of two young children. She and her husband work, but she is on a zero-hour contract, so her wages go up and down. The family use a food bank in South London which gets a weekly delivery from The Felix Project, she says:

“Before we came to the food bank, it was very, very difficult to cope. We work but after paying our rent and bills we only have about £70 a week for everything else, including travel and food, and sometimes it’s much less. At the end of the month there was almost no food in the house, but coming here each week has cut down my food expenses and I can feed myself and my family, it is a relief”.

Running for The Felix Project will mean we can continue to rescue more food and feed more people. To keep you motivated and on track we will provide:

  • A Felix running vest
  • Support from our fundraising team to help you hit your target
  • A big group of Felix volunteers cheering you on the day

The Felix Project rescues high quality surplus food and delivers it to community organisations across London.
