Thank you for coming to support the Hampton Court Palace 10k!

We’d like you to have a smooth experience throughout the day, and enable you to cheer on your friends, family and other runners without any unnecessary hassle.

PLEASE NOTE, Sadly dogs are not permitted in the event village or anywhere in the Palace grounds.

The 10k will start in 5minute waves based off runners estimated finish times:
Wave 1 = Sub 50 mins- 9:00am
Wave 2 = Sub 60 mins- 9:05am
Wave 3 = Sub 1:10 mins- 9:10am
Wave 4 = Sub 1:30 mins- 9:15am

Please plan to arrive early to ensure you can watch the start of the race without getting stuck in traffic around the venue.

 

 

Once you’ve arrived at Hampton Court Palace, please expect to be outside for the duration of the event, and dress appropriately for the weather and walking.

On arrival at the Palace, you can walk to the event village, this will be where you’ll find our stalls, including food and coffee vans, toilets and kit for sale.
We advise all runners to head here as there will also be their bag drop marquees, registration and a group warm up taking place prior to the start.
PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS A 15MINUTE WALK FROM THE MAIN GATES AND STARTLINE.

Should you chose to spectate at the start line, please factor in 15minutes to walk to the start from the event village.
Runners will be walked to the start in their waves from the event village main field. Please say your final good lucks and goodbyes before heading over to the start area.

we strongly advise using public transport and planning your journey in advance as there is very limited parking within walking distance from Hampton Court Palace. See below for our recommended travel routes.

By Train
35 minutes from London Waterloo – Trains run every half an hour.You could also get a train to Kingston and then a bus (111, 216 or 411) from there to Hampton Court Gardens, or a train to Richmond and the R68 bus to Hampton Court.
The service is run by South West Trains.
Hampton Court is in Zone 6 and you can use Oyster Pay as You Go on trains to Hampton Court.

By Bus
Bus routes from Kingston: 111*, 216*, 411*, 461, 513.
From Richmond: R68**
These services accept Oyster cards, LT cards, bus passes, Travelcards, Freedom Passes and Saver Tickets.

By Taxi
Visitors arriving by taxi may be dropped off at the gates.
There is a mini-cab firm at Hampton Court station for those wishing to go home by taxi.

By Car
The palace postcode is KT8 9AU
Hampton Court Palace is located on the A308 and is well signposted from all the major local roads; drivers should follow the brown tourist attraction road signs.From the M25 take either exit 10 on to the A307 or exit 12 on to the A308.
The palace is also accessible via the A3 and then the A309.
See the map for the closest car parks- these may fill up quickly, so we advise arriving early to ensure a space and enough time to walk to the Palace grounds.

Runners will finish the race back in the event village where you will be able to re-join them and celebrate their successes!

Should you wish to head out onto the course to spectate we recommend checking out Home Park, this is a scenic part of the course, just after the half way point.

Please note, due to the nature of this being a 10k, all runners will be expected to finish in under 90 minutes. You may find it tight for time to catch the start, out on the route, and the finish. Please plan in advance where you’d like to prioritise.
